Bamboo Panel
Bamboo panel comes in several forms depending manufacturing process (according to production methods). Vertical bamboo plywood is manufactured from solid bamboo strips laid on edge and laminated together producing a narrow grain look. Horizontal grain bamboo plywood is manufactured with the wider faces laminated together to form the surface. This method of production shows the "knuckles" characteristic in a bamboo in a bamboo stalk. Bamboo Plywood comes in vertical and horizontal grain with either a natural or carbonized color. Natural bamboo plywood -- just as the name indicates -- is very light and carries its natural color. Carbonized bamboo gets its color from a steam pressure treatment that actually caramelizes the natural sugars, resulting in a honey-wheat or amber color.
